This book is about a girl named Parvana and what happened to her family is very sad. Her father gets arrested and beaten while the taliban are searching her home. And what is very crazy is that Parvana must turn into a boy to provide for her family. Get the rest by reading Breadwinner by Deborah Ellis
Connections to other books: this book reminds me of a book I am reading called Murder By the Book, it’s related because there is a murder and the girl must solve the case, but what she struggles through, it makes me feel like Her and parvana are related.
Connections to Myself: This book does not really remind me of myself that much, but I kinda do feel a little close to her because my Great Grandpa died in a war and I didn’t know him at all but I do feel for her with losing her father.
Author: Deborah has more than 20 books to her credit. Deborah is a passionate advocate for the disenfranchised. She has donated more than one million in royalties from her breadwinner books alone.
