Thirteen-year-old Lamar Washington is the best bowler at Striker's Bowling Paradise. While Lamar is an expert at rolling strikes, it’s his brother Xavier that gets all their dad’s attention. But when bad boy Billy Jenks convinces Lamar that hustling at the alley will help him earn him enough money to buy an expensive pro ball and impress celebrity bowler Bubba Sanders. when Billy's scheme goes wrong Lamar ends up ruining his brother's shot at college and every relationship in his life. Can Lamar figure out how to fix his mistakes no matter what the cost? This is one of my favorite books i’ve ever read because it is a interesting book with lots of funny humor and of excitement.
This book is like diary of a wimpy kid, because in that book Greg has a older brother that is always bossing him around, and his parents want him to be more like them but greg and Lamar don’t want to
The author Crystal Allen was born in a military hospital in Germany because her dad was in the army. She is the youngest of 5 children. She spent lots of her childhood years in New Albany Indiana. She now lives in Texas with her husband.
This story relates to me because i have a sibling that gets all the attention, and seems to be a favorite. I often feel, just as Lamar, that I have to do it all alone.
