There was a boy named Percy Jackson who lived in NY. He went to a school named Yancy Academy. Percy has been kicked out from a lot of school’s. That is the last school that he can go to because that is all his mother can afford. Her boyfriend, Gabe keeps using all the money on stupid stuff. Percy and his friend, Grover went on a field trip to a museum. Chiron, their teacher was teaching them about The Gods and Ancient Greek Armor.
At lunch time Nancy Bobofit threw herself into a water fountain. Everyone thought the water actually grabbed her and pulled her into the water fountain.Once she fell into the fountain she yelled “Percy pushed me into the water fountain!” Mrs.Dodds wasn't happy at all.So now she was mad at Percy for Nancy’s little lie so.
Author:
Rick Riordan is the author of Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief and Percy Jackson’s Greek Heroes. Rick Riordan was born in San Antonio ,Texas and chose a career in teaching. He taught Social Studies before becoming an author. He is New York Times #1 best selling author for many books.
How I relate to the book:
Like Percy, I struggle sometimes trying to fit in. There are a lot of people who like different things, but if I didn’t choose carefully I might embarrass myself. I also struggle with getting good grades like Percy did in his schools in the book, Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief.
How It relates to another book:
It is like Harry Potter, it has adventures, and it is fictional. The adventures are magical quests that require training and determination. Harry like Percy is the same because they didn’t know who they were before someone told them.
