One stormy night four children, Henry, Jessie, Violet, and Benny, find themselves faced with the challenge to find a place to stay for the night. With no parents and little else but the clothes on their backs, things could be pretty difficult. Despite all this they have good attitudes and luckily discover a bakery nearby. At the bakery they are granted their wish for a place to stay. Once they’ve settled down for the night and the littler ones are asleep Jessie and Henry overhear the baker and his wife's conversation. They are planning on keeping the three oldest ones to work for them, and send Benny to an orphanage. What will they do to keep their small, dysfunctional family together?
